Students in grades 8 and 9 will have the opportunity to choose three different options for the 2026/27 school year. All options will be a co-ed mix of students from both grades.

LCHS runs on a two-day cycle with options running on alternate days, changing in semester two. During this time, students will also be enrolled in the new Financial Literacy program during the first semester. These classes will take place in a student's specific homeroom grade (ex 8-1, 8-2, etc).

An example of the option schedule is shown below.

Students will be placed in options according to their selections; however, each class has a maximum enrollment, therefore, students will not always be placed in their top choice. Every effort will be made to have students in classes that they have ranked in their top 3.

Once class lists are made, students will not be moved into different options unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as medical reasons.

Please review the 2026-2027 Junior High Options. New LCHS Junior High Students will be provided with an Options Selections sheet once registration has been completed.
