Welcome to the New School Year at LCHS!

We are excited to welcome back our students and families! Please review the key leadership announcements, startup schedules, and updates for August below.

Leadership Updates

  • Welcome Principal Wendy Francis: Joining LCHS from École Secondaire Beaumont Composite High School this August.
  • Thank You & Farewell: Our deepest thanks to Brad Clarke on his retirement after 9 years at LCHS.
  • Thank you: A big thank you to Richard Dechaine for serving as Principal since February. Mr. Dechaine will be our Grade Level Administrator for Grade 11 students.

Mandatory Student ID Cards

All students will receive a new student ID card immediately after their school photo. This card is required for daily entry into the school building and for signing out textbooks and library books.

August Startup Days (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Office closed daily from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.

  • High School Schedule Changes: In-person kiosk sign-in on designated grade days only. Appointments are first-come, first-served (no phone or email bookings accepted). Schedules are posted in your PowerSchool account.
  • Junior High Schedules: Released by August 24. No schedule or option changes will be made.

Important Upcoming Dates

  • Meet the Teacher Night: August 26 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Join us for classroom tours and free hot dogs!)
  • First Day of Classes: August 27

Land Acknowledgement
