Construction 10-20-30

Construction students will learn everything from the basics of woodworking to the fine details of cabinetmaking and home-building.  Students will safely transform rough materials into unique and useful products that they can keep.

In Construction 10, students learn how to safely use woodworking machines to construct a variety of projects.  Students turn pens and bowls on the wood lathe, build hardwood clocks and game boards, and begin to design and construct their own projects.

Construction 20 and 30 students choose between 20A/30A (Cabinetry) and 20B/30B (Framing). In Cabinetry, students construct nightstands, tables, hardwood boxes, and other unique projects. In Framing, students frame, shingle, and side exterior structures such as a sheds or playhouses, and install flooring trim, drywall, and electrical wiring. Students can also choose to take both Cabinetry and Framing.

If you enjoy building interesting and useful projects, or want to see what the Construction trades are all about, come and check it out.  For more information, click the link below to the school handbook.
