Physical Education 20 & 30 focus on fitness development, recreational leadership, organizational skills, knowledge of physical education principles, and participation in lifetime activities. Students will be challenged to take more responsibility for leadership in fitness and community service.

Physical Education 20 (5 credits)

Prerequisite: 50% in Physical Education 10

Physical Education 20 builds on the foundational skills and knowledge established in Physical Education 10. The course's primary purpose is to solidify a student's commitment to active living by focusing on specialization, skill improvement, and the application of scientific fitness principles. The goal is to move students toward becoming self-aware, competent movers who can take greater personal responsibility for their health and physical activity choices.

Physical Education 30 (5 credits)

Prerequisite: 50% in Physical Education 20

Physical Education 30 is designed to solidify a student's commitment to lifelong health and active living by shifting the focus from instruction to independent planning, leadership, and personal management of fitness and wellness. The core purpose is to empower students to take full responsibility for their own health and physical activity choices after graduation.
