Community Volunteerism (3 credits)

This is a student-focused program that promotes leadership, responsibility, and community involvement. Students develop mentoring and communication skills while supporting younger peers, school events, athletics, and community initiatives.

The course emphasizes service learning through hands-on experiences such as mentorship, volunteer work, and collaboration with local organizations, including animal shelters, senior living facilities, and the City of Leduc. Students serve as positive role models while contributing to a strong, connected school and community environment.

Community volunteerism students will meet outside of regular class times.

May include the following 1-credit courses:

CCS1080  Community Volunteerism 1
CCS2080  Community Volunteerism 2
